Byebye Ubud – Hello Canggu…
Leaving Ubud and the great staff of Como Uma after 3 full days was sad but somehow okay as we nearly explored it all and felt very relaxed after so many massages and green food ;-)… 🌱🌱🌱So we booked our tourist guide Adria again (remember the Lulubrenner 😂) and he took us through Western Bali today. Our main experiences were the beautiful rice terraces in Jatiluwih. Since ten years belonging to UNESCO cultural heritage and being the biggest rice terrace in Bali, this was really impressive to see. Needless to say that we had beautiful weather the whole day – arriving there we had a pop-up shower so we were singing and trekking in the rain over the rice fields. Nevertheless, our eyes saw so much wonderful green and holy nature. By the way it is so hard work to grow the rice, unbelievable that we can buy it for such cheap money actually. After Jatiluwih we were heading to Canggu in the South-West of Bali, the next destination of our trip. Arriving in Komea Villa we immediately felt home as the Komea Concept is about having your own little house with outdoor living room, a cute outdoor kitchen and two bedrooms meaning two little houses included in our own patio. We refreshed and instantly headed to La Brisa beachclub – the newly opened up hot spot in town at famous Echo Beach – to have our first coconut water and… after so much green drinks, to have some sparkling stuff while watching our first Bali sunset. Amazing! Good night from this beautiful island & Happy Chinese New Year (today’s big celebration here… 😬)!
